Casper's Cyber offering: Q&A with Fraser Rogers
Nov 04, 2024
Casper Specialty UK Ltd is delighted to announce the appointment of Fraser Rogers as Cyber Underwriter reporting into our CUO, Hugh Sprowson.
Hugh commented: ‘Fraser’s appointment is a crucial piece in building out a cross-class solution to our client base. He is an experienced underwriter who will help grow our portfolio both in standalone Cyber and in blending Cyber cover with existing Casper products. As we move into an ever more technology driven risk landscape, Cyber is becoming a ‘must have’ for many of our Insureds’.
We asked Fraser to tell us a little more about why he joined Casper and what his upcoming ambitions are for the company:
Could you elaborate on why you decided to join Casper?
After spending 9 years in the realm of cyber underwriting at large syndicates, I was ready to take on a new challenge. Joining Casper offered a great opportunity to spearhead a cyber portfolio from its inception. What made this move even more appealing was the ability to work alongside leading underwriters in the industry at Casper, a company that prioritises a customer-focused approach and fosters a culture of collaboration. These factors played a significant role in making my decision to join Casper.
What is your strategic plan for the cyber offering at Casper?
I plan to use my previous experience to transform Casper into a proactive player in the cyber market. Our strategy will involve collaborating with a security scanning provider to assist our new clients in understanding their current cyber exposure. Post-client onboarding, we will provide them with notifications about new critical vulnerabilities via their brokers. This approach is designed to support our clients in enhancing their cyber security maturity. Furthermore, we aim to streamline our product offerings by combining the Casper forms to become a one-stop-shop across FI, Crime. D&O, PI, Cyber for SME and also standalone policies.
What is the maximum line size you are offering?
We are offering a maximum line size of USD 5 million or its equivalent in other currencies.
What is your target market?
Our focus is on servicing SME’s across the globe. We are targeting businesses with annual revenues ranging from USD 250-300 million for both primary and excess coverage.
Who are your capacity providers?
Our financial backers are led by Tokio Marine Kiln with additional support from Chaucer.
